End of Week Roundup

Maybe I should start a Weekly-roundup post from now on?
(1.) I guess biggest event this week would be the the Japanese Film Festival held by the Japan Foundation in the State Library theatre. Me and Hiro attended for 3-nights straight and enjoyed every one of them very much
so~ good!  ( ´ ▽ ` )ノ
(2) Because of the Film Festival event (6.30pm), I've been spending my day time doing uni work in State Library (-> my very 1st time ever). It was a good change of study environment.
(3) Karaoke at the Hit Studio again, it has always been one of my favourite activities eversince I came to Perth. Thank gawd for Japanese Karaoke machines. ヽ(^◇^)ノ ♪♫♬
(4) I love being home.  Now that Naoya has moved in with us, and Ayaka being tied up to Kean, I get to see my favourite friends anytime, and I have never been happier!
Anyway, Yusuke visited me by surprise and stayed over this weekend, it has been a while since we hangout. Sadly though, I didn't have the time like how I used to anymore, too much assignments to be done!

Last but not least,
Here's my favourite doodles I made this week.
Doodled my breakfast that one particular morning because it was one of the most expensive (yet simplest) breakfast I've ever had. Not gonna tell you how much though :P You'll just die in disbelief.

Today my life begin

The photos above was taken on top of the infamous Wave Rock in Hyden, WA; after going through some Rock Walks. Its pretty spectacular I guess, the landform looks like a giant surf wave that was believed to have formed more than 2,700 million years ago before the dinosaurs, rawr!

Here's us infront of the Hippo's yawn - the rock that resembles a yawning hippo lol, that's that. Went to Mulka's cave afterward, unfortunately my mood wasn't that good in the afternoon = = damn you menstrual cramps!
In anyway, I would like to thank both Kean and Ayaka for bringing me and Hiro along to their one-day roadtrip :) It was actually pretty enjoyable experience,  and~.. oh! My 1st roadtrip (with friends) in Australia!

Lots of love

Good and bad~..
..but I guess that's life isn't it?
Atleast,
what's more important is that,
I found myself a group of great friends
Thank you for going through all the troubles preparing a surprise event for me you all (especially Hiro, Ayaka and Kean)
Lots of love to all of you.

And to be honest, I think I am in love...

Backyard Dinner and Shooting Star

Thank gawd, things are getting cooler nowadays..
It was sizzling hot last week!
One of those days, we decided to cook and have a dinner at home.
My housemate Farid bought marinated lambchop!! My favourite!
But then, the thought of eating such a good food in a stuffy, sweltering house is such a kill joy.

We went out for fresh air. The sun was setting and weather had cooled down outside.
Still stuffy inside, we decided to carry the table and chairs out, and had our early dinner in the backyard
We stayed out till night falls..
And! And!
Guess what I saw that night!

This is where I am

Hey guys, took me so long yea?

For the first few days in Perth..
I was still worrying about finding a place to stay.
I took a walk alone around Perth City on Friday night,
Then guess what?
I coincidentally bumped into.. Faizah's family
Faizah was someone I just met during BruONZ dinner Hadee (hugs!) brought me to before I flew to OZ.
Gawd what luck!
I was really happy for being able to meet a Bruneian family in Perth, I mean, I've been all alone for a few days back then!
Faizah's family was very nice to me that they bring me around Perth when it was supposed to be their family outing (also treat me lunch and dinner)
Thank you thank you so much T_T

Anyway, that night was also when I met Farid (Fai's friend),
He told me he had an empty room in his house!
His place is pretty faraway in Queens Park though,
I need to take a 2 buses and a train to go to UWA from there.
The total journey (including waiting time and walking to my department) takes about 1.5 hour!
But atleast I had a place to stay temporarily (and so I thought) before I found an accommodation closer to Uni.

Moved in and fell in love.

After a week,  I kinda gave up searching for accommodation..
And so I bought a car instead,
it's all thanks to Farid.
He actually found me one in only 3 days! Crazy!
It's a Hyundai Excel, and it only cost me $1,600.
With this, I am now able to go to Uni within 20 minutes. ;)
So yay, I don't need to worry about searching for a closer option anymore.

Ladies and gentlemen,
let me give you a tour inside.
This is my room
The dining room
And everything else..
Uh oh! And! And!
He has a cat!
She doesn't have a name, so I called her 'Sayang' :P

Sweaty Night

As mentioned in my previous post, it was around 2.30am when I arrived Townsend Lodge in Perth City.
The warden gave me a quick tour around the lodge, and then sent me to my room on the top floor (2nd).
Room was nice and cosy, but damn, so hot
I didn't see any air conditioner nor a fan, so I asked for one.
He said, I should just come down to the reception and ask for a fan TOMORROW
So yea, that night I was sweating like a pig.

Next morning,
after shower, I checked through the cupboard and drawers,
and look what I have found.

Gawd! After what I went through that whole night!
That guy should have known and told me this!

But owhhh oh well.
Atleast I have a fan now
Life...
is a bliss

My transit in Singapore.

Hello Lovelies
I have been in Perth for 4 days now ()ノ and I love it!
The people here are super nice and the weather's amazing!

Shall I start from the very beginning?

✼    ✼    ✼    ✼     ✼

The flight was at 9.10am in the morning, there's no direct flight to Perth, Australia. So I had to transit in Singapore for 8 hours from 11am-7.30pm, do you get that? 8 FREAKIN' HOURS!
Luckily, Auntie Susi was there for her vacation also. She was kind enough to fetch and let me rest at the Michael Hotel in Sentosa Resort where she was staying.
We just had a walked around outside Universal studio. Too bad my time was short, if not, can get to enjoy inside the entertainment park already.

Anyway, I went crazy over a peanut butter cupcakes. If only the Australian security wasn't that strict with food. Oh well, im sure can get these in Perth. (can kan?)

Had lunch at Vivo Mall.

Delicious Japanese bento for only S$5.70!

Had a great time with Auntie Susi and Auntie Hjh Aisyah

Really enjoyed it :)
Lots of love Auntie Susi!

✼     ✼     ✼     ✼     ✼      ✼     ✼     ✼

Had to go back to the airport and said goodbye to my Aunty at 6pm. My flight to Perth was at 7.45pm, felt really sad as I realised that Im gonna be alone from then on.

As I was all set to fly in the plane, I got excited by the good list of movies! I ended up watching 'Summer days with Coo', super sweet.
Had soy sauced chicken with white rice for dinner, not sure it was a right choice afterward. But nyeh, good movie balance it all.

Arrived Perth and finally went out at 2am! Gawd, such a long security process! (Arrival time supposed to be at 12.45am).

Was worried because I have arranged a free Airport Pickup from the University (UWA). Good thing they are willing to wait for 1.30hr.
Whereas in UK hostels usually don't accept guest after 11pm, I was also really glad I was still able to get in at 2.30am.
I am currently staying in Townsend Lodge for a week, It's pretty okay :)
...If only they serve free breakfast!
